What to expect on your first visit

Coming in for the first time is easy. Here’s exactly how it works — and answers to the questions we hear most.

1

Reach out & your first visit

Call the office or request an appointment online — no referral needed. At your first visit we listen to your full story and do a consultation, a thorough exam, and state-of-the-art digital X-rays if you need them, so we can see exactly what’s driving your problem.

2

Your second visit: answers & your first adjustment

We explain in plain English exactly what the root cause is, and that’s the day you receive your first adjustment. Right after, we do additional testing to see exactly how your body responded to the adjustment, which lets us tailor your care plan directly to your needs.

3

Your third visit: a clear plan

Based on everything we’ve gathered about your case, you’ll leave with a clear, realistic plan built around correcting the cause.

Common questions

Good to know

Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?

No. You can come straight to us — no referral from another doctor is required. Just call the office or request an appointment online.

What happens at my first visit?

Your first visit is a consultation, exam, and any necessary X-rays, so we can hear your full story and see exactly what’s driving your problem. We do not adjust on the first visit, for two reasons. First, we need to analyze your X-rays so we can begin at the root cause and give you our best. Second, we would never take the chance of adjusting you if there’s a chance of a fracture being present. On your second visit, we explain in plain English exactly what the root cause is, and that’s the day you receive your first adjustment. Right after, we do additional testing to see how your body responded, so we can tailor your care plan to your needs. On your third visit, you’ll leave with a clear, realistic plan.

What is advanced spinal correction?

It’s a structured, measured approach to chiropractic care. Instead of only relieving today’s pain, we correct your spine’s alignment over a planned course of care and recheck the results on X-ray — aiming for a lasting change, not just temporary relief.

Is chiropractic care gentle? I don’t love the idea of being “cracked.”

Yes. Dr. Garth and his team use gentle, specific techniques — including instrument adjusting with the Activator and/or ArthroStim, which are very light, controlled tools — so care can be comfortable even if you’re nervous or sensitive. We tailor it to you.

Do you see children and families?

We do. Ultimate Chiropractic is a family practice, and we adjust babies and kids using gentle, age-appropriate techniques. It’s a natural, drug-free option for the whole household.

Do you take insurance?

No. If you want to take advantage of any chiropractic benefits your health insurance has to offer, we’re more than happy to provide a document called a Super Bill to you after your services have been provided. You’ll receive any reimbursement directly from your insurance company. We’ll help you understand your coverage before care begins and always tell you what to expect up front. Call the office and we’re glad to walk through the details with you.

Do you offer nutrition help too?

Yes. Melissa, our nutrition expert, is certified in nutrition and offers practical, real-food guidance to support your care — a natural companion to the work we do on your spine.

What are your hours?

We’re open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM and 3:00–6:00 PM, and Thursday from 3:00–6:00 PM. We’re closed Friday through Sunday. If you reach us after hours, request an appointment online and we’ll get right back to you.
